Risk management is a practice used in business to try to anticipate potential credit, financial, and operational risks. Obtaining a bachelor's or master's degree in business with an emphasis on risk management can prepare an individual for a career in business, non-profit administration, insurance, banking, and additional management and advisory positions across a broad range of company types. According to a 2009 salary survey by the career search engine Indeed.com, the average salary for those employed in risk management is $84,000.
